When you’re ralaxing by the wood burner with a couple of drinks after a good dinner, it’s nice to know it’s just one flight of stairs between you and your comfy bed. Our rooms have king sized beds and en suite bathrooms. Two have views over the garden to the Cothi valley. Cool cotton sheets and wool bedding (great for restless sleepers, and the environment!) add up to a great nights sleep. Cooked breakfast is served in our dining room, which gets the morning sun, and we always have fruit, cereals and yoghurt if you fancy something a little lighter.
A NOTE ON TELEVISIONS, WIFI AND MOBILE SIGNAL – All our rooms have digital radios, but not televisions – many guests appreciate a break from the box (we have plenty of books and board games to keep you occupied) but we also know that for some this is an essential part of a weekend break. We can put a small television with standard tv channels in your room at any time, if you can let us know before you come it is a great help. We do not generally have televisions in the pub and we do not show sport apart from major international rugby tournaments (this is Wales, after all). Our WIFI is pretty good most of the time, we have very thick walls, it be patchy and we do not guarantee its availability. Very few people get consistent if any mobile signal here, as a guest you are welcome to use the pub phone for booking taxis, tickets, meals out or for urgent calls. We hope none of these things put you off, we hope you come and enjoy our beautiful valley, the clean air, our lovely food and the friendly welcome at the bar.
*10% off the room price if you stay 2 nights or longer between October 2016 until the 6th April 2017 – available to book online or by telephone *
The rooms are quite different, so please read the descriptions below before booking and if you have any questions just give us call. Please bear in mind that we are a busy local pub in a very old building so, although some rooms are further from the bar, you may be able to hear people talking until closing time.
We also have a folding single bed suitable for adults which is available if you wish to have a third person stay in the room at a cost of £20, or if two people would like to share a room but not a bed, at no extra charge.
* We do not accept single night bookings on either Sunday or Monday. Please bear in mind when planning your stay that on Sunday evening we don’t serve any food and close early (8pm) and we are closed all day on Mondays, except for bank holidays. *

Dogs & Cats
Dogs are welcome in the bar and can stay in Room 2, our dog friendly room, for a charge of £10 for up to 2 dogs (if booking online you can add this as a booking extra, or just ask if you telephone). We ask that you keep your dog with you all the time and don’t let them sleep on the bed.
Please keep your dog on a lead in the pub and in the garden in the interest of other customers, who may not appreciate your dogs affections as much as you do! If bringing a dog please be aware that our cat, Lily, lives here too. She is not allowed in the B&B rooms and has her own spot in our flat.
Guests who arrive by bike get 10% off our standard room rate (no parking the car down the road and cycling round the corner, though). For information about arriving by bike please see the ‘find us’ section..
